We spotted a red cardinal on our walk the other day. He was magnificent—perched at the top of the tallest tree, singing triumphantly, a splash of bright red against the gray Maine sky.
The other day, it rained all day and Beckett (the dog) wouldn’t leave the porch. She’s dainty. It was too wet. I laughed because she’s so relatable. We cuddled inside with snacks and books the whole day.

I participated in a book challenge on Instagram where you send a favorite book to a friend of a friend, and you get books from their network too. I sent The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes.
